ASSISTIVE DEVICES

Empowering visually impaired students through sponsorship of assistive devices

Enabling education equity, accessibility and inclusivity for Visually Impaired Children, and thus empowering them to pursue their passions and achieve their dreams.

In collaboration with VT Seva - USA, Saksham Trust and Vikasa Tarangini - India

Sponsor Assistive Devices

India is home to over 8 Million - 20% of the world's blind population. It is also home to the largest number of blind children in the world, of which less than 10% have access to education.

Assistive technology is the cornerstone for the blind and visually impaired to overcome many challenges. Whilst advancements in the use of Assistive technologies have successfully transformed lives of thousands of visually impaired persons, millions of them continue to be excluded from the socio-economic mainstream due to poverty and a lack of access to assistive technology and its innovations.

As part of our mission to empower visually impaired children, we sponsored specially configured laptops for 173 visually impaired students across 11 states in India in 2022, thanks to the unwavering support of VT Seva and generous sponsors like YOU. Building on this success, we extended our impact by empowering an additional 100+ visually impaired students each in 2023 and 2024. Thank you for your continued support in transforming the lives of these students and making a lasting difference!

Our journey continues in 2025 as we aim to support 150 underprivileged visually impaired students. We look forward to your continued support and active participation in this year’s fundraiser to help us make this vision a reality!
